Scopone 2021 Rimani Toscana

Scopone sits in southeastern Montalcino at nearly 500 metres elevation, with vineyards facing Monte Amiata on lean, limestone-rich soils derived from galestro, alberese and sandstone. Winemaking at the estate began in 1996 with the involvement of renowned Italian oenologist Giacomo Tachis. The 2021 Rimani Toscana Rosso IGT blends 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% combined Merlot and Syrah, and 20% Sangiovese.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep, intense ruby-red with a dark core.
Nose: Blackberry and ripe red fruit with dark chocolate, roasted spice, coffee and subtle cigar box.
Palate: Full-bodied and concentrated, with dark berry fruit, cocoa and savoury spice supported by firm, substantial tannins.
Finish: Long and structured, with lingering dark fruit, spice and dusty mineral character.
