Arran Barley 10 Year Old Batch 001

Produced by Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, Arran Barley 10 Year Old is part of the distillery’s celebrated exploration of terroir and local agriculture. First distilled in 2012 using Concerto barley grown exclusively at six farms on Arran, the whisky was matured for ten years before being bottled at 50% ABV. The release highlights Arran's commitment to showcasing the impact of local ingredients on flavour, with every stage of production tied closely to the island itself. Non chill-filtered and natural in colour, it represents one of the most authentic expressions of Arran's island identity and whisky-making philosophy.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Bright aromas of green apple, ripe pear, honeycomb, vanilla custard, fresh barley sugar, citrus zest, and soft floral notes mingle with hints of shortbread and gentle oak.

Palate: Rich and textured with layers of orchard fruit, malted biscuits, vanilla cream, lemon curd, heather honey, white pepper, and toasted oak balanced by vibrant fruit sweetness.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering notes of honeyed malt, citrus peel, baking spice, soft oak tannin, and fresh barley character.
