Brocard 2022/23 Chablis

Brocard’s Chablis bottling is typically a blend of multiple plots across the appellation, grown on Kimmeridgian limestone soils that impart the region’s signature minerality. Recent vintages have seen cool but balanced growing seasons, with spring frost risk, moderate summer warmth, and ideal harvest conditions. These cycles produce wines with lifted acidity, refined citrus fruit, and precise structure.

Tasting Notes & Serving Suggestions:
Brocard’s Chablis opens with vivid aromas of lemon zest, green apple, chalk, and white flowers, layered with hints of pear skin and flint. On the palate, it is clean and zesty, offering flavors of citrus peel, grapefruit, and crushed stone minerality, balanced by vibrant acidity and a touch of salinity. The texture is linear and precise, finishing long and refreshing with lingering notes of wet limestone, herbal lift, and crisp orchard fruit.

Serve well chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F) in medium white wine or Chardonnay glasses. Ideal pairings include raw oysters, crab cakes, grilled prawns, or lemon-butter sole. Best enjoyed within 3–5 years of vintage to capture its freshness, but may develop subtle complexity with short-term aging.
