Tomatin 2001 PX Sherry Butt-Sansibar 10th Anniversary (Cask 34870)

This wonderful single cask from the Tomatin distillery was distilled on November 30th, 2001 and matured for over 19 years in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Butt before it was exclusively bottled on May 17th, 2021 for the 10th anniversary of Sansibar Whisky in a total of 669 bottles. The bottling comes in an elaborate presentation with a heavy, decorative wooden box with magnetic closures and a felt bag. Aroma : Coffee, dark brownies, dark chocolate and fudge, with toasted almonds, maple syrup, cloves, soy sauce and plum jam Taste : Sweet and chocolaty, with cocoa, cappuccino, forest honey, overripe red fruit, raisins and roasted nuts Finish : Still sweet, with honey, chocolate, coffee, heather, orange zest and with a spicy and floral aftertaste
