Old Particular Bunnahabhain 2007 15 Year Old

Bunnahabhain is one of Islay’s classic distilleries, founded in 1881 on the island’s northeastern coast and named from the Gaelic for “mouth of the river.” Known for a generally lighter, less peaty style than many of its neighbours, it produces whiskies that balance coastal influences with rich malt character.

Nose: Aromas of coastal brine, tar, and subtle sweet peat smoke open the experience, giving way to hints of citrus zest and marine salt.

Palate: A rich interplay of slightly burnt toast, honey-roasted nuts, and phenolic smoke carries through alongside aromatic hickory and salted fudge.

Finish: Warm layers of spice, cocoa, cough drops, and a touch of marmalade linger gently, highlighting the whisky’s coastal depth and aged complexity.
