Murray McDavid Inchgower 14 Year Old is a 2010-vintage single malt released in spring 2025 as part of the independent bottler’s Benchmark collection. It began maturation in bourbon hogsheads before spending its final four years in first-fill Tokaji wine barriques, an unusually long secondary maturation that gives the wine casks a meaningful role in the finished whisky.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Honeydew melon leads into tropical and floral fruit, combining fresh sweetness with a softer perfumed character. Independent notes also find touches of sea spray and floral nectar.

Palate: Lemon compote provides a bright citrus sweetness alongside nutty malt and sea spray. There's an appealing sweet-and-savoury contrast here, with the Tokaji richness meeting Inchgower's firmer coastal character.

Finish: Citrus oils and waxy fruit linger alongside mellow oak, leaving a richer texture without losing the whisky's freshness.
