Sterling 2022/23 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Sourced from prime Napa Valley sites, the 2022 vintage was picked in cool mornings, fermented in stainless steel, and aged for about 17 months in French and American oak before blending. The blend includes 85 % Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by Petit Verdot, Charbono, Merlot and Petite Sirah.

This Cabernet opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, and berries under dark chocolate, layered with notes of violet, vanilla crème, and caramelized oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and rich, with flavours of blackberry compote, red currant, and dried plum, supported by polished tannins, fresh acidity and a long, smooth finish.

Best enjoyed from 2025 through 2032, with a prime window between 2026–2029 when fruit, texture and oak integration are in harmony. While approachable now with decanting, patience will reward deeper complexity and structure.
