Banfi Cum Laude

While vintage may vary, recent growing seasons in Tuscany have featured warm, dry summers and long harvest windows. Banfi’s high-elevation vineyards around Montalcino allow for slow, even ripening, essential for maintaining freshness and complexity across international and native varieties alike. These conditions yield wines like Cum Laude with ripe fruit, fine tannins, and a polished, modern texture.

Tasting Notes & Serving Suggestions:
Opens with intense aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, and blueberry, layered with notes of vanilla, sweet spice, cedar, and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied and smooth, delivering flavors of dark berry compote, mocha, licorice, and toasted oak. Well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity create a refined structure, while the long finish leaves impressions of baking spice, dark chocolate, and earthy minerality. Rich yet harmonious, this wine offers both power and elegance.
Serve at 17–18Β°C (63–65Β°F) in Bordeaux-style red wine glasses . Decant for 30–60 minutes to enhance complexity and soften youthful structure. This wine pairs beautifully with grilled steak, braised short ribs, wild boar ragΓΉ, or aged Pecorino Toscano. Best enjoyed now through the next 5–8 years, offering immediate pleasure and medium-term aging potential.
