Founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, Chichibu was the first new Japanese distillery in three decades. Akuto’s legacy traces back to the famed Hanyu Distillery and the legendary Ichiro’s Malt Card Series, making his modern-day Chichibu whiskies some of the most sought-after globally thanks to extremely limited production and consistent award-winning quality.

Aroma:
Opulent layers of dates, carob, black cherry jam, cooked plum, and warm baked cherry pie create a rich and enticing nose.

Palate:
Intensely ripe black cherries carry through on the palate, joined by baked fruit richness and velvety sherry-driven depth. A luxurious balance of fruit and power defines this cask.

Finish:
Long, lavish, and fruit-laden. The ripe flavours linger beautifully, with balanced sweetness smoothing the bold cask-strength character for a refined, warming conclusion.
