1792 Sweet Wheat Bourbon is produced at the historic Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, a distillery with roots dating back to 1879 and now owned by the Sazerac Company. Named in honor of the year Kentucky became a state, the 1792 range explores different mash bills and maturation styles while maintaining traditional bourbon production methods.

Unlike the brand’s flagship high-rye recipe, Sweet Wheat replaces rye with wheat as the secondary grain, creating a softer and sweeter flavor profile. Aged in new charred American oak barrels and bottled at 91.2 proof (45.6% ABV), the bourbon highlights creamy grain sweetness alongside classic notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. The result is a well-balanced wheated bourbon that emphasizes smoothness and approachability while still retaining the depth of well-aged Kentucky whiskey.
