CARM Douro Classico

Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira (CARM) is a family-owned producer deeply rooted in Portugal’s Douro Superior, the eastern and more remote section of the Douro Valley known for its dramatic schist soils, steep vineyards, and exceptional sun exposure. Established over generations, CARM has become recognized for sustainably farmed vineyards and wines that authentically express the character of the Douro.

CARM Douro Clássico is produced from traditional indigenous grape varieties commonly including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and other regional blends. Vineyards are planted on terraced slopes where low yields and intense growing conditions contribute concentration and structure. Fermentation typically takes place in stainless steel with careful temperature control to preserve fruit purity, while a portion of the wine may see brief oak aging to add texture and subtle spice without overpowering the wine’s freshness.

The result is a balanced, modern Douro red that maintains the region’s hallmark depth while remaining accessible in its youth.
