Old Grand Dad 7 Year Old Bonded

Old Grand-Dad 7 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond is produced by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. and was introduced in 2025 as an annual release. Inspired by vintage Old Grand-Dad bottlings, it takes the brand’s familiar high-rye bourbon profile and gives it a minimum of seven years in oak before bottling at the traditional bonded strength of 100 proof.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Bold caramel, cinnamon and vanilla lead the official profile, with independent tasting adding peanut brittle, toasted oak, orange rind and rye grain.

Palate: Full-bodied and velvety with caramel, vanilla and charred oak. Brown sugar, caramel corn, apple skin and a touch of apricot add sweetness and fruit before the high-rye recipe brings warming spice and structure.

Finish: Long and peppery with cinnamon, marmalade, mixed nuts and burnt caramel, followed by rye spice, lemon and lightly drying mature oak.
