Pere Ventrua Cuvee Barrique Gran Reserva

Pere Ventura Family Wine Estates is a family group founded in 1992 by business man Pere Ventura, dedicated to the production of high-end estate wines from its three wineries from most prestigious appellation of origin in Spain: Pere Ventura (DO Cava), Can Bas Domini Vvinícola (DO Penedès) and Merum Priorati (D.O.Q. Priorat). Pere Venturas wine producing vocation is rooted in a family tradition dating back to the 19th century., when his great grandfather, Manuel Montserrat, was involved in the process of making cava, after the first bottle was born in 1872 in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Today, 150 years and four generations after, the family tradition lives on with the aim of growing and expanding to new appellations of origin and creating a strong and positioned brand in the world of wines. Pere Ventura Tresor Cuvee Barrique Gran Reserva is a very personal long ageing cava, made from Xarel·lo and Chardonnay grapes, with a significant proportion of the Chardonnay base wine fermented in oak barrels to increase its complexity. It is a complex and structured cava, with a creamy texture and a lovely aromatic axis running from ripe peaches to toast and spices. A gastronomic cava designed to complement haute cuisine. At sight it offers an attractive and suggestive intense golden colour. Its bubbles are constant and create a magnificent crown. On the nose there are notes of yellow flower and flagrant spicy notes such as cinnamon, vanilla as well as the memory of botanical herbs. In the mouth we find a full-bodied wide wine where the peach in syrup is identified, which contrasts in a very interesting way with the citrus fruits of the candied lemon and orange that end up predominating at the end of the mouth. On the palate it is creamy and structured with notes of smoked. The aftertaste is firm, complex, rich and harmonious.
