Vina Bujanda Gran Reserva

Viña Bujanda is part of a family-owned Rioja estate dedicated to producing wines that respect the region’s long-standing traditions while embracing modern precision in vineyard and cellar practices. Located in Rioja, the winery works primarily with Tempranillo grown in carefully managed vineyards influenced by a combination of Atlantic and Mediterranean climates.

Gran Reserva wines represent one of Rioja’s most prestigious classifications, requiring extended aging both in barrel and bottle before release. Viña Bujanda Gran Reserva is crafted from selected vintages and low-yield fruit chosen for concentration, structure, and aging potential.

Following temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine undergoes lengthy maturation in oak barrels, traditionally using a combination of American and French oak, which contributes notes of spice, cedar, tobacco, and vanilla while softening tannins and enhancing complexity. Additional bottle aging allows the wine to integrate and develop the nuanced character associated with mature Rioja.

The result is a polished and expressive wine that balances ripe fruit with tertiary savoury notes and elegant structure.
