Drouhin Vosne Romanee Petis Monts

Founded in Beaune in 1880, Maison Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy’s historic family domaines. The Drouhin family has assembled important vineyard holdings throughout Burgundy and has been an early advocate of environmentally sensitive viticulture. Across its approximately 100-hectare domaine, organic practices have been used since the late 1980s and biodynamic methods since the 1990s, with an emphasis on low yields and expressing individual terroirs.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Intense, brilliant ruby with excellent depth and clarity.

Nose: Highly perfumed and complex, led by wild cherry with fine spice and Drouhin’s distinctive description of a subtle musky note. With air, expect raspberry, violet, rose petal, forest floor, and exotic spice to emerge.

Palate: Exceptionally silky and refined. Red and dark cherry fruit is layered with raspberry, delicate spice, and mineral nuances. The tannins are extremely fine-grained, while fresh acidity provides energy and precision. Despite its elegance, there is impressive underlying structure and concentration.

Finish: Very long, graceful, and complex, with lingering cherry, spice, floral notes, and mineral freshness. Drouhin specifically emphasizes the wine’s noble tannin quality and unusually persistent finish.
