CVNE Imperial Gran Reserva

The Cune Imperial Gran Reserva is one of Spains great reds, an important classic. Obtained from CVNEs best old vineyards are grapes of exceptional quality, whose must, after cold maceration and fermentation in French oak, becomes the wine that ages for 36 months in barrels. It will subsequently rest for a further 48 months in bottle before being released onto the market. It appears an amazing bright picota cherry colour and its nose is most appealing, with ripe fruit, liquorice, intense spices and balsamic touches. On the palate its silky, with finely-drawn tannins hinting at caramel and cocoa. The perfectly integrated oak ensures an elegant, very balanced composition, with a dry finish, a wine which offers numerous pairing possibilities. 97 Points - Wine Enthusiast
