Drumshanbo Fig & Laurel Irish Gin

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is produced at The Shed Distillery in County Leitrim, Ireland, a craft distillery celebrated for its adventurous botanical combinations and meticulous small-batch production methods. Founded by PJ Rigney, the distillery draws inspiration from global flavours, Irish craftsmanship, and traditional copper pot distillation.

The Fig & Laurel expression builds upon the signature Gunpowder Irish Gin recipe, which incorporates botanicals such as juniper, citrus, oriental spices, and Chinese gunpowder tea. The addition of fig and laurel introduces new layers of sweetness, earthiness, and herbal complexity while preserving the gin’s bright and refreshing structure.

Distilled slowly in copper pot stills, the gin emphasizes botanical clarity and balance. The fig contributes soft fruit richness and texture, while laurel leaf adds savoury herbal depth that complements the gin’s citrus and spice elements. The result is a highly aromatic and versatile gin with both Mediterranean and Asian-inspired influences.
